Most people get plants for their beauty and to liven up the space. But did you know that having plants in your home or office benefits your health? We have found ourselves inside more now than ever before. Due to the huge pollution in the air, the air in your home or office could be filled with unhealthy and invisible toxins. Your indoor plants can eliminate these pollutants. Here are a few reasons why we benefit from indoor plants.

  1. Plants offer noise-free rooms by absorbing noise and air pollutants. They help with sharpening focus. Plants can help you with sound breathing and provide a peaceful space for a better night’s sleep and a relaxing day. Further, it will also absorb carbon dioxide in the room.

Here is a list of 11 indoor plants that are perfect for any weather. These hardy indoor species can survive and even thrive despite severe neglect.

Although not every house plant requires a natural green thumb, here are a few of my favorite ones

Spider Plant

Slender arching leaves that grow from s=central rosette, with a grass like appearance. Non-toxic for pets. The off shoots called “spiderettes” or “pups” can be easily be removed from the parent plant and and rooted to create another plant.

Dracaena Plant

Dracaena is known as the corn plant because of the resemblance of the tall, unbranched stem to a stalk of corn with broad leaves.

Ficus Plant

Ficus Tree is a small tree with arching branches with weeping dark green or variegated leaves.

Peace Lily Plant

Peace Lily isa sturdy plant with dark green glossy oval leaves that narrow to a point. It will consist of a white modified leaf that is white called a spathe.

Boston Fern Plant

Boston Fern plant produces graceful arching branches covered with soft emerald leaves.

Snake Plant 

Snake Plants web-like underground roots and thick, sword shaped leaves that are uniquely banded pattern.

Bamboo Plant 

Bamboo Plant is a woody plant with a hollow stem.






Pothos Pant

Pothos Plant has a trailing glossy vine. The leaves are heart-shaped leaves that are typically bright green with a yellow or cream markings.

Chinese Evergreen Plant

Chinese Evergreen is a densely packed oblong dark green with light green leathery leaves.

Rubber Tree Plant 

Rubber Tree Plant have large, glossy leaves that can be 3.5 to 12 inches long.

Prayer Plant

Them Prayer plant is a low growing houseplant with variegated patterns that are unique. The leaves fold upwards at night, resembling praying plants.
